Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What if everyone there knows more than I do?
A. The classes are paced in such a way to make every one feel comfortable. No one is ever put “on the spot”. Teaching segments cover a range of topics designed to appeal to a broad audience with varying degrees of understanding and knowledge.
Q. Why are you doing this?
A. Scarcely is the Bible read in today’s fast paced lifestyles. Our faith and belief in God propels us to expound His message and Truth. We believe the Bible and what it teaches is right and good in directing our lives and families. In Christ’s day, the apostles spread the Gospel message and the commandments of God. We also feel compelled to make known to all who would listen the wonderful plan God has for the earth.
Q. Are there any Fees?
A. No. These seminars are absolutely free. No strings attached. Absolutely, Positively, FREE! There are no fees of any kind for any of our seminars, and you will not be asked for a donation at any time.
Q. Are these addresses a Church Service?
A. No. This is an educational seminar in a classroom setting. The topic is about the Bible and God’s plan as revealed in His scriptures. However, the seminar is not intended to be a religious gathering. Nevertheless, because we are looking into God’s Word, each session will begin with a brief prayer of thanks offered by one of the presenters.
Q. What if I have different beliefs?
A. Our hope is that the classes will encourage you to draw your own conclusions about God and His Son.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Like any class environment, we suggest you dress casually and comfortably.
Q. Can I ask questions during the class?
A. Asking questions is always encouraged. The seminar is fast paced, and there is limited time to cover the allocated material. The presenters are very approachable, and they stay after each class to answer any additional questions you might have.
Q. Can children attend?
A. Yes. There are no age restrictions. We encourage you to read and study the Bible as a Family, and children are welcome to attend. However, day care is not provided, and there is no “Cry Room” setup for parents with infant children. Parents are asked to supervise their children so they are not an interruption to others in the class.
Q. I just found out about these addresses, and I have already missed a few sessions. Can I still attend?
A. Even if you have missed a few sessions, you are still able to attend.
Q. I’m not available for all the scheduled classes? Can I still attend?
A. Yes. Hopefully you will be available to attend all the classes. However, if you miss some of the sessions, you are still encouraged to come back when your schedule allows.
Q. I really enjoy attending these addresses. Can I invite a Friend?
A. Yes. Please encourage interested friends, family, or co-workers to attend.
Q. May I attend more than once?
A. Yes. Many students have come back in subsequent years to accompany a friend. And, some students attend every year the seminars are held in their area. Attend as many times as you like. It’s always free, and you may see some familiar faces.
Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Please bring a Pen (or pencil) and a Bible, (any translation), if you have one. Spare loaner Bibles will be available at the seminar if you need one. All other materials, including a personal workbook will be provided at no charge.
Q. What time should I arrive?
A. The sessions will begin and end promptly. For the first class, we request you try to arrive 15 minutes early. Complimentary refreshments will be available at the end of the addresses. There are no scheduled breaks during the class.
Q. Is any advanced preparation required?
A. No. But reading ahead in your Bible never hurts.
Q. Is there homework?
A. Students are encouraged to read the Bible every day. No one is put on the spot.
Q. Are there tests?
Q. What if I don’t like the addresses?
A. You may quit at any time. We think you will enjoy the classes, and you will find the information and materials helpful. However, you may quit with no strings attached.
